CPK d.d. ensures good driving conditions on 1,576 kilometres of roads, of which 115 kilometres are major roads, 494 kilometres are regional roads and 967 kilometres are local roads and public routes. Our operations cover the territory of the municipalities of Piran, Koper, Hrpelje-Kozina, Divača, Sežana, Komen, Postojna, Pivka and Ilirska Bistrica. We provide winter services for the entire area indicated above and also ensure serviceability in the harshest winter conditions.
The Maintenance unit performs complete winter and summer maintenance and protection of state and local roads in the area of the southern Primorska region. In their work, the employees of the Maintenance unit focus especially on activities within the scope of the winter service and the serviceability of the major traffic routes prior to the summer tourist season.
The Maintenance unit is internally divided into:
- the Koper Road Maintenance Base,
- the Sežana Road Maintenance Base,
- the Ilirska Bistrica Road Maintenance Base, and
- the Traffic Sign and Road Markings Group.
